So, who are you anyway?

I’m Stacy. 26. Canadian.

I’m a web designer currently based in Guelph, Ontario. If you’d like to learn more about me, the best thing to do is just follow me on twitter, @spellbunny or drop me a line in the form below. I’m a pretty big nerd and I even have the coke-bottle nerd glasses to prove it. (My prescription is -20.) I’m in love with the internet, communities online, design, gaming, MMO’s, trivia, steampunk, star trek and languages. That is just the short list.

I like taking photos, but I rarely do anymore. I travelled to Japan in May 2008. I’d do anything to go back. I was born 3.5 months premature and so I have an eye disease called lattice degernation. I’m pretty weird and I like it.

Why is your site called “Pile of Sticks”?

I wanted a domain name that sounded ambiguous enough so my personal website be anything. Websites change and evolve, with a name like this I feel free to do whatever I want without being tied down. I brainstormed with a couple of friends for the right words that suited me. I like sticks – and birds. Really, it’s just a plain old pile of sticks. But when you’re a kid, a pile of sticks can be a giant bonfire, a tent to hide in or a castle you bombard with tiny little rock men. I guess it’s my version of an empty cardboard box.

Also, my sister has been calling me stick or stickers for a few years now. It just fits.
